(Lian Li PC-Q07, Zotac9300-ITX WiFi) bin ich wieder einmal in Bastelstimmung gekommen. Schon längere Zeit war klar das meine ITX Acryl-Box abdanken muss. Das Acryl zieht jede Menge Staub an, was schlecht für die Optik und irgendwann auch für die Hardware ist.

Der leise Media-PC soll über XBMC HD-Inhalte und Sat-TV wiedergeben können. Er soll sich ohne Tastatur über eine PC-Funkfernbedienung bedienen lassen.

Vor diesem Projekt habe ich über eine Popcorn Hour A-110 Movies an meinen Fernseher gestreamt. Da ich jedoch etwas eigenes haben wollte und mal wieder in Bastellaune war, entschloss ich mich einen Media-PC mit einem ITX-Board selber zu bauen. Mitte 2009 gab es aber auch keine schönen ITX-Gehäuse, also musste das auch ein eigenes Projekt werden. Das wichtigste am Board war das es einen HDMI Ausgang hat und eine NVIDIA-Karte die VDPAU unterstützt. Natürlich wurde dort Ubuntu 9.04 installiert, auf die Konfiguration und Installation der Grafikkarte mit VDPAU Unterstützung werde ich im nächsten Blog Artikel näher eingehen. Ein großes Dankeschön geht an Thomas der das Acryl-Case konstruiert hat, an meinen Vater und Ralf für die Fertigung. Die folgende Hardware habe ich verwendet:
